So here I am, in a new apartment, in a new city, in a new state. I just recently made the move from good ol' Kankakee, Illinois to Nashville, Tennessee. I guess this blog is just a way to chronicle my new only semi-exciting life in a completely new, more than semi-exciting city.

So far I have a job, some great roommates, but not a whole lot of time to do exciting Nashville stuff. As the weeks continue, I hope to get out and about a bit more, but until then this blog will just recount my day to day activities and interests.

I feel like since this is my first post, I should explain the name. I have become increasingly interested in clothes and what you might call "normal people fashion" over the past year. I really love dresses, skirts, and other fancy things specifically of the vintage/older variety. So when I was scrounging through some old stuff at one of the local consignment shops, I happened upon some cool looking heart shaped jewelry. There was six of these pretty little silver hearts in a baggy that was labeled "Button Covers" I kind of guessed what they were from the name, but it wasn't until my mom explained and showed me what they did that I became obsessed. They are the most perfect way to dress up an outfit that has buttons. They make the cardigans that I wear almost daily look more expensive than just Target brand, and they are unique to boot. So naturally, I thought it would be appropriate to name my brand new blog after my brand new favorite accessory.

Once I learn how to make this blog a little more pretty, maybe my posts will be more interesting. Bear with me until then.
